Pool enclosure for the Acqua Sport aquatic complex

To meet the specific requirements of this unique site, Vénus designed and installed an exceptionally large pool enclosure: 45 metres long by 20 metres wide. Acting as a glass roof, this motorised telescopic structure allows the pool to be opened or closed as needed. Equipped with five powerful motors, the enclosure opens in just a few minutes, offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains and lake, while ensuring full protection in bad weather. A perfect balance of comfort, aesthetics, and technical performance.

As with all its projects, Vénus used tempered safety glass—a material particularly well suited to large structures. Its resistance to impact and extreme weather makes it a reliable and durable solution, especially for a roof of this size. All Vénus enclosures comply with CE standards, ensuring a high level of safety and quality. This requirement is especially crucial for a covering structure constantly exposed to the challenges of the Alpine climate.

Thanks to this custom enclosure, Acqua Sport Porlezza now benefits from a pool that is accessible in all seasons, protected from the elements yet still open to its surroundings. The water stays warmer, cleaner, and requires less maintenance—reducing the operating costs of the facility. By offering a more comfortable and extended swimming experience, the Vénus enclosure enhances the site’s appeal and profitability, while showcasing the unique beauty of Lake Lugano.
